I. Job Summary


The primary purpose of this seasonal position is to assist the Parks Department in meeting business demands. Work is in a customer service-based environment with direct contact to the public, assisting customers with marine services ranging from retail store purchases to boat rentals and boat slip renewals.

Requirements

Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings, and be at least 16 years old, and able to work outdoors for extended periods.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
 
  1. Inform the public of rules and regulations, give general information, give directions, and answer various questions about park operations and park resources.
  2. Follow basic rental boat check-in/check-out procedures as trained.
  3. Daily cleaning of rental boats and retail stores.
  4. Operate cash register efficiently and answer phone calls in a professional manner.
  5. Ability to handle and accurately count money and make change.
  6. Ability to multitask and complete assigned duties while unsupervised.

IV. Qualifications

A. Education/Experience
  • Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. (accredited)
  • Experience: No prior work experience required.
